Broken Wings

I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was as good as mine. I ate myself into a coma and I just woke up. Well, not really but I like to think so. I just had Thanksgiving dinner with my mom, sister, and niece. My dad was in Memphis visiting his mom who is getting worse and worse each day. Here are the current conditions of my grandmother:

• Still in the hospital (St. Francis)
• Sleeping mostly due to pain medication (morphine, etc.)
• Congestive Heart Failure (heart has enlarged to the size of a grapefruit since she was admitted)
• Myelodysplastic Syndrome (Bone Marrow disorder)
• Acute MI (heart attack per the medical journals)
• Pneumonia in both lungs
• Fluid on the right side
• Anemia (will probably require a transfusion within the next day or so)

But like my father said, nothing is over until God says so. All I can do at this point is continue to pray for her. And my dad is really taking all of this pretty bad. He isn’t really talking to anyone, but that is how we all deal with things that are bothering us. We just want to be left alone for a while. And when we are ready to talk we will. Fortunately for me I have my blog to get whatever is on my mind off it.

Yesterday, I went to go see Hitman. I’m still debating on whether it’s a good movie or not. There were some great action scenes but that was mainly it. The dialogue was dry and boring, but I still kindof liked it. I know I won’t go see it again until it comes out on DVD… if I even buy it.

Uh, I had to work Black Friday from 11am to 7pm and I am to the point where I am starting to hate people. They get crazy as hell when they go shopping on that day for some reason. I just got tired of explaining the coupon that people handed out from 6-10am. And then you have to deal with the attitudes when the come to the checkout with the flyer that was distributed in the paper. It clearly says on the flyer that we will be handing out 20% off entire purchase coupons from 6-10am ONLY, but their dumbasses want to get mad and smart with me. So all I do is talk to them like the child they are acting and I tell them to thoroughly read the coupon again and that is when they get it. What idiots!

Very sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope her state improves. Blogs are great for relieving what we feel inside.

Black Friday definitely brings out the worst in people. It is definitely time when patience is tested.

This is a very unfortunate. I’m so sorry to read about all the symptoms your grandmother is going through. Its understandable how your father feels, And its a very difficult thing for him to do stay positive when your grandmother is in so much pain. But i agree with your dad, its not over until god says its over… many wishes to your family.

lol@ those shoppers… it sure is fustrated when you are the one who have to deal with the foolishness. well just stopping by too…
