Merry Christmas!

::sighs:: Finally the Christmas season is here, which really makes me reflect about this year. I still can’t believe how fast this year went by. And next Wednesday my niece will be four. Gosh, time flies! She is basically like a grown woman now telling us what we need to do. It’s actually funny also. But I just wanted to come on here and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I think this year I am going to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of Jesus Christ [even tho the Dec. 25th is not really his birthday]. The reason I want to celebrate the true meaning is because I have been noticing that each Christmas I made it all about the gifts. I’m not on here saying you all will go to hell for doing that or anything, I just want to take this year to reflect on the birth of Jesus and what he has done in my life because I have done things that I am not proud of but yet He keeps on blessing me.

But I hope that you all get what it is you really want! Be safe this Christmas!

I often find myself wondering how the year went by so quickly. *lol* I think most of us wonder that at some point. :)

I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

I’m not religious so I can’t reflect over Jesus or anything like that. To me the true meaning of christmas is love. To be with your family and do nice things. I think it’s sad that for many people it’s all about presents.

It’s amazing how each year time seems to go by faster and faster. Or at least that’s how it seems to be for me. I hope you had a wonderful christmas! :]

I’m Wiccan so the true meaning of Christmas is very different for me. But I’m glad that you had a good one.

Totally the reason for the season…
I’m glad that you enjoyed the holidays.
I agree… once you finished high school, time just seriously flies by… who knew I would have lost so many years?

It’s good to see someone who can derive meaning from Christmas. Personally I can’t get it, I’m not Christian and I enjoy all the consumerism and tacky decorations and such haha, but I’m happy that you can take a break from all that and remember why we do it in the first place. Have a good New Year

How’s the new year going so far?

Time flies when you’re having the proverbial “time of your life,” I guess. :) To be honest, I’ve noticed that many people only celebrate Christmas for the gifts and the good time; its true essence has been lost as the years go by. I’m a lapsed Catholic (more of a heretic/Atheist, they say), and perhaps this is one of the few reasons why I’ve turned that way.

I hope you had a good Christmas. You’re right – Christmas has become a very commercial season, a competition to determine who can buy the most gifts.

Merry Christmas to you as well, albeit almost a month overdue!

I hope you had a lovely holiday. :) For most people, its become more about commercialism than the true meaning of it (with the exception of the folks who don’t believe in Christ). Our family had minimal gift giving and spent time with each other like always. As you get older you really figure out what is truly important. Although I can’t blame the kiddies for wanting toys lol
