Now that I have calmed down I can write about how mad I was earlier this evening.
As you all know, I was supposed to get my hair done today and I was going to post photos to show you all. If you read the first line of my post, you would know that it didn’t happen.
Here’s what happened. I had asked earlier in the week to get my hair done at 6:30pm because it’s about to get hot and I hate trying to do my hair. Any way I style it, it’s going to curl up because of the humidity.
Everything was a go! I was excited!
Here is what my day looked like today:
11:00am – woke up, showered, and dressed
2:00pm – went golfing with my dad and sisters to practice for tomorrow when we go on the course
3:15pm – rode with a friend of mine to help him find a testing site
4:45pm – went with my oldest sister, brother n law, and friend went to eat at O’Charleys
6:00pm – left o’charleys and went to Walgreens
6:21pm – done with Walgreens and called my hairstylist to make sure she was ready to get started
6:22pm – sent a text b/c of no answer when I called
I get a response saying that she is just now leaving work (which was supposed to be at 5pm) and sorry that she should have called and then some reason of packing and that she will call me when she gets home.
7:02pm – I get a text saying that she just made it to her moms to get her son and hopes that she doesn’t get in traffic on her way home which is about 20 minutes (since she stays around the corner from me).
8:09pm – i get a text saying that she stopped to get her key from her boyfriend and he battery went dead and then another response saying she needs a drink.
By this time, I am highly upset because I have been waiting since 6:30 to get my hair done. I had things to do tonight and I canceled them so she wouldn’t feel rushed to do my hair.
After that last text I didn’t hear a single thing back from her. Now what really makes me upset is that fact that I am a paying customer and I am giving you money to do my hair. Now to keep business you must COMMUNICATE with your clients! Simple as that! If she would have texted as soon as she knew that she wasn’t going to get off at 5 AND at least offer to reschedule and not have me think that everything is still going to happen.
And because of this and many other instances like this I am finding someone else to do my hair from now on. I will keep the 80 bucks I was going to pay her and pay someone else for their time.
I just hope I can find someone to do my hair tomorrow or I will just washing it and put it right back up in curls like it was.
